18th June 2008. Robot-drones attacked Twin Peaks today at approximately 3.am MindArk time.  Colonists at Twin Peaks; Eudoria - Planet Calypso, were thrown into a state of confusion as a large troop of robot drones of various generations infiltrated the area. I had stumbled upon the attack just moments after having arrived from the outskirts of Twin Peaks, and had been killed twice before finally being able to take the snapshot above. Many other brave colonists were also terminated, and the pile-up at Revive Terminals had to be seen to be believed at one point. However, a few UBER colonists came to the rescue and began to slightly even the odds. As to the final outcome; I have no idea what this was, having taken
refuge in the nearby lounge-bar just prior to loging-out, so as to make
this report.

Art of WarWith a name so strong and thought-provoking it is hard to not notice it as it flashes across our screen announcing Hall of Fame entries. While standing around in Omegaton West Habitat Trade Center I noticed a petite woman walking towards the Storage Facility....it was Great Optima Dane, society leader from Art of War. I spotted her and asked if she would be interested in allowing me to interview her about Art of War's outstanding performance during Land Grab 2008, society life and basically getting to know the woman at the helm of such a powerful society. She agreed and we set up to meet at Entropia News Network HQ, as soon as she freshened up and cleared her inventory from a Hogglo hunt she had just completed. Mr Brown: So the name Art of War….is that in reference to the Sun Tzu book? How did that name choice come about? |

I was more or less at the point where I thought I had grasped what there is to know about Entropia, (except perhaps the convoluted Skilling system which I admit I don't 100% understand). I was soon to find out that I knew absolutely nothing about Scanners. I had actually seen participants using them many times, I just didn't know why there were scanners... Scanners are those bright, bright white bulbous looking devices with a pistol-grip that you see avatars pointing at other avatars. I've had a fair number of them pointed at me in the past, but again, I just didn't know they were scanners. I thought they were some sort of uber laser or plasma, maybe even BLP weapon. This is the truth! Sometimes I can be a bit slow on the uptake - nothing new there. |
